I’m excited to find a skilled addition to our iOS team! You don’t need years of experience – we’re searching for a mid-level developer with a solid grasp of the basics who’s ready to grow and take on new challenges with us. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from seasoned experts and make the most of our well-developed mentorship program.
We build modern apps with clean architecture, focusing only on projects that truly make sense. When you need help, there’s always someone to turn to; if you enjoy sharing your knowledge, there’s always someone eager to listen. Right now, we’re looking for someone to help us kick-start a new greenfield project for an innovative UK client!
Our project highlights:
- George – The mobile app for Erste Group, where we’ve been expanding mobile banking features in collaboration with internal teams for years.
- Kuba English – Our latest success story that’s turning heads! We blended the KMM approach with an interactive AI avatar for a standout user experience.
- MyJablotron 2 - worked with Jablotron’s (a leading Czech manufacturer of alarm systems and smart devices) internal team to develop their new application for the management of user alarms
Our iOS team of 6 (mostly senior developers) has loads of experience to share, and we’re excited to support your growth journey with us!
Who are we?
At Applifting, we’ve been developing software for over ten years, but our people come first (read more about our culture here). We’re over 170 people strong, but we operate without traditional managers. All our projects aim to make people’s lives easier and must pass an internal ethics check (learn more about our ethics here). For example, we’ve developed a system for faster international organ exchange for transplants and security solutions for banking apps used by millions across Europe. We like to do things together outside of work as well and communicate very openly.
Must-Have Skills:
- Swift programming language (Objective-C is a plus)
- Experience with both SwiftUI and UIKit
- Deep understanding of different iOS architectures (Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVVM-C, etc.)
- Working with and designing REST APIs
- Reactive programming (Combine, ReactiveSwift, or other frameworks)
- Writing UI and Unit tests
- Database storage
- Knowledge of Keychain and basic iOS security
- Knowledge of push notifications
- Hands-on experience with memory management and memory leak debugging
- Advanced Git skills
- English at a minimum B2 level; Czech is not required

- Maksym - iOS Tech Lead who has been crafting the Erste app for the past 3 years! A true coffee connoisseur and avid traveler, who brings the same passion for quality to code as he does to finding the perfect brew and new destinations!
- Michal - A very experienced iOS developer within his work hours and a dedicated football player outside of them! When not on the field I love diving into complex board games and immersive computer games, always up for a challenge and quick to devise winning strategies!
- Honza - Mobile developer, who loves creating apps for both Android and iOS (but he will never tell you, which one he prefers!). Also a bit of a coffee addict who drinks about 5 cups on a light day.
